LET THERE NOT BE ANY CONFUSION. THE BHARATIYA MAZDOOR SANGH IS NOT A PARTY TO THE PROPOSED STRIKE ON 7TH SEPTEMBER 2010. THE BTEU BSNL AS SUCH IS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE STRIKE. 

The GS will be in Karnataka Circle from 3rd Sept to 4th September 2010.

The BSNL Corporate office has called all the unions to give their views on changes in the code of discipline in view of the 5th membership verification. The views of the BTEU BSNL are submitted to the BSNL HQ. The same can be viewed in the link Issues taken up.

BSNL CO has issued orders on anamolies due to accrual of increments of juniors earlier than the seniors after revision of wages. For details please see link orders.

SHRI BHAMRE DISTT SECRETARY BTEU BSNL DHULIA MH CIRCLE REPORTS THAT NONE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE UNION HAVE JOINED BSNL EU IN DHULIA AS REPORTED IN THE WEBSITE OF THAT UNION. HOW FAR IT IS PRUDENT TO SPREAD SUCH LIES.

DOT ISSUES DIRECTIONS TO ALL DOT CELLS AND BSNL THAT THE ABSORBED EMPLOYEES OF BSNL ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FULL PENSION AFTER COMPLETION OF 20 YEARS OF SERVICE. THIS ISSUE WAS TAKEN UP BY THE CHQ WITH THE MEMBER SERVICES DURING HIS VISIT TO HYDERABAD ON 31.7.2010. FOR DETAILS SEE LINK ORDERS.

BSNL CO issued clarification on 3rd child in BSNL MRS Card. 3rd Child born after 16.4.2010 not eligible for all the benefits. For details see link orders.

The NE 12 Pay Scale of RS. 9200-250-13200 for Non-Executive Employees is cleared by the DoT ND vide No:P 1-72/2010-SNG Dated 19.08.2010

CHQ intimates CMD BSNL that BTEU BSNL is not participating in the strike on 7.9.2010. For details see link issues taken up.

CHQ takes up with BSNL CMD on imparting of training to Departmental OBC officials for various examinations. For details see link issues taken up.

The GS addressed a well attended meeting of the workers at Nagpur on 21.8.10. He has outlined the various issues concerning the BSNL and its work force. He has assured the workers that the issue of revision of pay scale of Sr.TOA and also the question of allowing TOAs/Sr.TOA to get the benefit of GPF for those officials who were sent for training prior to 30.9.2000 but actually appointed after 1.10.2000 will be pursued by the CHQ with all its seriousness.

The GS was in Nagpur on 21 and 22 August 2010. A large number of BSNL EU workers joined the BTEU BSNL in his presence.

We have once again proved that we are second to none in serving the country. The Government has admitted that the private operators have failed to provide communication services to the Leh SSA of J&K Circle which was affected by flash floods and lightening etc.  Only the BSNL rose to the occasion and restored the services and helped the government in providing relief to the massess.  

Reliance Communications on down ward slide:  Reliance Communications is losing out on the race to match strength with its counterparts particularly Bharti Airtel. The company’s net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 dropped to Rs.251 crore at a fall of 85% as compared to net profit of Rs.1,637 crore recorded last year.

CHQ takes up with BSNL CO regarding grant of Hindi Personal Pay from 1.1.2007 to the non executives on par with executives. For details see link issues taken up.

MTNL Mazdoor Sangh, has filed a case in the CAT New Delhi for counting of past service rendered as casual mazdoors.  The CAT has asked the DOT/MTNL to implement the same within 2 months.  The MTNL MS has filed this case basing on the agreement entered into by the 3 Federations in the September 2000 strike.

The Circle Working Committee meeting of the BTEU BSNL KARNATAKA Circle will be held at Chikmagalur on 4.9.10. Shri Virjesh Upadhyaya, SG ITEF and GS BTEU BSNL will attend

The Circle Working Committee of BTEU BSNL AP circle will be held on 25-26 September 2010 at Tirupati. Shri Pawan Kumar, Secretary BMS and GS BTEU BSNL to attend.

The issue of TOAs who were appointed after 1.10.2000 but started their TOA training prior to 30.9.2000 to facilitate them get the benefit of PO, GPF etc was extensively discussed with Sr.officers in the DOT by the GS BTEU BSNL on 12th August 2010.  They wanted the union to give a detailed presentation through the BSNL Corporate Office. The same will be taken up by the union with the BSNL Corporate office.

Performance of BSNL not all that Bad: Belying all the forecast of astronomical figures of loss,  BSNL has posted a net loss of Rs.1822 crores, during the last financial year ending 31.3.2010, according to the final audit figures.  But for the payment of Rs 2900 crores arrears of pay revision paid during the year, it would have been a net profit of around Rs.700 crores.  The net profit during the previous year 2008-09 was Rs.575 crores.  Although there is lot to improve, the figures confirm that the performance was not as bad as was being painted by some sooth-sayers trying to create panic. Many of our so called Unions and associations have boasted that BSNL will go into a total red this fiscal year.  The performace has belied all our expectations.  Let us ensure that we earn more profits this year.
