In BSNL there are about 4000 employees who were given posting orders after 1.10.2000 even though they were eligible for appointment prior to 1.10.2000 due to various administrative reasons. The BTEU BSNL has been continuously raising this issue for the past 20 years with the management and DOT as gross injustice has been done to them. In March 2023, the DOPT has circulated guidelines to the Ministries to given an option to such of those employees recruited prior to 2004. Then the CHQ took up the issue with the DOT vide letter dated 6th March 2023  ( letter kept in link Issues taken up) to implement these orders in BSNL also. Accordingly the DOT has endorsed the orders of DOPT. Now the CHQ will take up with the BSNL Management for its early implementation. For details of the circular see link Orders.
