GS BTEU BSNL ADDRESSES OPEN SESSIONS ON 12th & 12th March

at Chennai and Bhopal

Shri R.C.Pandey, General Secretary BTEU BSNL has attended the All India conferences of AIBSNL EA at Chennai held on 12.3.22 and that of AIGTOA held at Bhopal on 13.3.22. He has addressed the open sessions in both the conferences and  spoke about the need to bring back past glory of the BSNL and to that extent all out efforts are to be made by all irrespective of cadre and affiliation. He has outlined the stops being taken by the Union in meeting the Hon’ble MOC and bringing to his notice the need for immediate action plan to make BSNL the number one telecom company again.  He has also stated that Wage revision and better HR policy are the need of the hour.

The open session at Bhopal was also addressed by the CMD BSNL. He has spoken very positively about the BSNL and the steps being taken by the Government at the highest level to ensure that the companies needs are taken care.

Pension Revision

Pension Revision

The Bharatiya Doorsanchar Pensioners Sangh an affiliate of the BMS has taken up the issue of Pension Revision with the Hon’ble MOC on 20.01.2022 and held extensive discussions with him. The Hon’ble MOC assured the Sangh of a positive outcome. While this is so, one Hon’ble MP Smt V.Geetha Viswanath also took up the issue  with the Hon’ble MOC,. Secretary DOT, Secretary Department of Personnel and Pensions . Another group of like mined pensioners have also met the Hon’ble MP and appreciated her stand. Our CHQ President and CHQ office bearers & CS AP also met the Hon’ble MP and thanked her profusely. Shri H.V.Sovani, the  GS BDPS in the meanwhile has addressed separate letters to the Hon’ble MOC and Dr Jitender Singh , Minister of state for Personnel & Pensions requesting for an early settlement of the Pension issue by delinking the same from wage revision,  Positive out come is expected. We thank the Hon’ble MP for showing keen interest in the matter despite the fact that this is a very small issue for her. We appreciate her stand.

BTEU BSNL national office bearers meet Hon’ble MP, Kakinada

S/Shri V.V.S.Satyanarayana, President CHQ, K.Punna Rao, AGS CHQ, D.V.Prasad, CS AP, K.Mohana Krishna, DS Nellore, AP and Shri Bhaskar, DS Srikakulam, SSA in AP met Smt V.Geeta Viswanath ji, Hon’ble MP Lok Sabha from kakinada constituency of Andhra Pradesh today i.e. 22.2.2022 and thanked her on behalf of all Pensioners of BSNL for taking up the issue of Pension Revision with the Hon’ble MOC and Secretaries to the Govt of India. The delegation also discussed several issues confronting the BSNL viz., Launch of 4G, optimisation of the net work and improvement of other services in the rural and urban areas. The Hon’ble MP sat through for more than an hour and assured to take up the issues with the Government.

PENDING HR ISSUES OF BSNL NON EXECUTIVES

The BSNL Corporate office has been making the lives of non executive employees miserable on one count or the other.  The arrears of the IDA which were with held due to Covid are yet to be refunded to the employees despite issue of orders by the management.

The promotional avenues of the non executives are blocked for the past many years. The Departmental examinations for promotion to JAO, JTO, JE, TT cadres are held up since  2019., Notifications issued earlier are cancelled and no fresh dates are given.

The Non executive employees have no other go but to agitate for these things. The CHQ  is analysing the situation and appropriate trade union action will be taken after due consultation with all shortly.

THERE IS NO QUESTION OF ANOTHER VRS AS OF NOW NOR WILL IT BE THERE IN FUTURE. THE LANGUAGE USED IN THE MESSAGE IS QUITE DISGUSTING.

A fake message has been circulated by some disgruntled elements and shared by many of our friends regarding offer of 2nd VRS to the employees who have completed 45 years of age. It is to bring to your notice that this message is totally false and has no substance at all. Do not get  misled by such kind of messages. The tone and tenor of the message also is very bad in taste and has to be condemned by all. BSNL belongs to all and cannot be owned by a few only. Please remember that Rome was not built in a day nor it would be built now in a day. Each and every one has contributed his might big or small in making BSNL .  Let us all work together to make BSNL the best Telecom Operator in the country in the 21st Century.

BMS DELEGATION MEETS COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER

         Delegation from BMS met Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji, Hon’ble MOC and discussed the following issues.

1. Wage Revision in BSNL MTNL & ITI.
2. Pension Revision
3. Merger of MTNL into BSNL
4. Status of Group B to Senior Accountant
5. CGHS payment to be made by BSNL directly
6. Issue of Presidential orders to officials whose appointment was delayed due to administrative reasons
7. Counting of casual service for pensionary benefit.
8. Clearance of all dues to employees and Pensioners
9.Allocation of work to ITI.

The Hon’ble MOC gave a patient hearing and assured to look into the issues. The meeting lasted for one hour.

Even during the critical COVID times, the BSNL employees both officers and non executives have once again proved their mettle. They have been rendering services to the country men often risking their own lives. In the month of December 2020 the employees have once proved that they are second to none in taking forward the company. The employees have provided more than 23 lakh mobile connections. This speaks volumes of their commitment to the cause of the company. With increased tarif being offered by the private operators, the customers are opting for BSNL mobile in a big way in many Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and long ques are being seen everywhere.  It will not be far when BSNL will once again rule the Telecom market in the country. We salute the BSNL employees and officers for their dedication.
