Meeting of the Bharatiya Doorsanchar Manch was held at New Delhi on 17.12.23 and discussed various issues of employees and pensioners like Wage Revision, Pension Revision, Promotions, perks restoration of allowances etc. It is decided to conduct agitation programe in January 2024.

BMS affiliated unions and association demanded MOC to cancel the DOT order on taking over of ALTTC Land. For details see link Issues taken up.
The Government Employees National Confederation an affiliate of the BMS held a day long Dharna at Jantar Mantar New Delhi demanding restoration of Old Pension Scheme. The central Government Employees working in Railways, Postal, Defense and other units participated. The dharna was addressed by the President and General Secretary of BMS S/Shri Hiranmayi Pandya Ji and Ravindra Himte Ji. Later on a delegation of the Federations of Railways, Postaal, Defense etc led by Shri Ravindra Himte Ji, GS BMS met Smt Nirnala Sitaraman Ji, Hon’ble Finance Minister and demanded that the Central Government should restore Old Pension Scheme immediately.
THE DEPARTMENT OF TELECOM HAS ALLOCATED 4G AND 5G SPECTRUM TO BSNL IN CONNOCENCE WITH THE DECISION TAKEN BY THE UNION CABINET IN THE YEARS 2019, 2022 AND 2023. THIS WILL GIVEN IMMENSE RELIEF TO THE BSNL AND IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE ROLL OUT OF 4G SERVICES WILL COMMENCE SOON. FOR DETAILS OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ORDER PLEASE SEE LINK ORDERS.
AS DECIDED IN THE PUNE CWC OF BDPS AN ONLINE MEETING OF BTEU BSNL, BDPS, AIGETOA AND SOME OTHER LIKE MINDED UNIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS WAS HELD YESTERDAY AND IT WAS DECIDED TO FORCE A MORCHA FOR AN AGITATIONAL PROGRAMME ON THREE MAIN ISSUES LIKE PAY REVISION, PROMOTIONS AND PENSION REVISION. A PHYSICAL MEETING IS BEING PLANNED IN DELHI NEXT WEEK WHEREIN THE DATES ETC WILL BE FIRMED UP.
The DOT has issued orders to the effect that the ALTTC campus is to be handed over to them . The CHQ has made a strong protest and addressed the CMD BSNL to take up the issue with the DOT and see that the orders are got rescinded immediately.For details see link Issues taken up.
The VI All India conference of the Bharatiya Telecom Employees Union (BSNL) wll be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh East Circle on 19th and 20th February 2024. In this connection all the Circle Secretaries are advised to note the following points and act accordingly.
a) The entry to the AIC this time will be strictly based on the membership of each circle. The number of delegates per circle will be intimated to the respective circle secretary basing on the quota received and that number of delegates from that circle will be allowed to take part in the AIC. Apart from this all the Circle Secretaries, Circle Presidents and CHQ office bearers will be eligible to attend the AIC.
b) Only working employees and paid members of the union will be allowed entry into the AIC
c) All circles should complete their circle conferences before 15th December 2023. Failing which such of those circles who do not held their circle conferences will not be allowed into the AIC.
As such all Circle Secretaries shoud take note of the above and act accordingly.
