BMS Delegation meets Telecom Minister…..

BMS delegation led by Shri Ramnath Ganeshe ji, All India Secretary & Prabhari Telecom met Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, Hon’ble MOC on 15.1.24 late evening. The delegation included S/ Shri VVS Satyanarayana President & RC Pandey GS BTEU and AIGETOA office bearers. The meeting lasted for about 45 minutes. The following issues concerning BSNL employees and Pensioners were brought to his notice. The MOC was very attentive and assured to talk to the DOT/ BSNL officers and resolve at the earliest.

1. 3rd PRC implementation pending since 2017.
2. Pension Revision pending since 2017.
3. Restoration of LTC, which is suspended for the last 15 years as LTC is banned in BSNL for BSNL Staff. However officers on deputation are getting LTC.
4. DA on tour is very low and is not revised since 20 years.
5. Medical reimbursement is @15 days salary it should be revised to at least 25 days salary.
6. Promotion policy to be revised. Last revision was in 2010.
7. 2nd PRC issues are yet to be settled.
8. Should lift ban on Compassionate ground appointments. 9. A letter was also given to the MOC regarding issue of Presidential orders to the employees who were recruited after 1.10.2000. 10. As regards Pension Revision our union office bearers met the MOC in Jaipur last Friday also wherein he said that it is in an advanced stage and would be settled soon. The AIGETOA office bearers presented a separate memorandum and a lively discussion took place in the meeting on all the issues raised by BMS.

Corporate office has issued instructions regarding Period of recognition of unions and Associations extending for 4 years from next verification. RESTORATION OF OLD PENSION SCHEME

The Government Employees National Confederation an affiliate of the BMS held a day long Dharna at Jantar Mantar New Delhi demanding restoration of Old Pension Scheme. The central Government Employees working in Railways, Postal, Defense and other units participated. The dharna was addressed by the President and General Secretary of BMS S/Shri Hiranmayi Pandya Ji and Ravindra Himte Ji. Later on a delegation of the Federations of Railways, Postaal, Defense etc led by Shri Ravindra Himte Ji, GS BMS met Smt Nirnala Sitaraman Ji, Hon’ble Finance Minister and demanded that the Central Government should restore Old Pension Scheme immediately.

ALLOTMENT OF 4G/5G SPECTRUM TO BSNL

THE DEPARTMENT OF TELECOM HAS ALLOCATED 4G AND 5G SPECTRUM TO BSNL IN CONNOCENCE WITH THE DECISION TAKEN BY THE UNION CABINET IN THE YEARS 2019, 2022 AND 2023.
