We are pleased to share that the General Secretaries and CHQ office Bearers of BSNLEU, NFTE, AIGETOA, SNEA, BTEU, AIBSNLEA and SEWA warmly welcomed our new Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Robert Jerard Ravi.

During the meeting, Mr. Ravi expressed his commitment to leading BSNL towards growth and success. He emphasized that BSNL will be servicing MTNL areas, particularly in the two major cities of Mumbai and Delhi, which generate the highest revenue across India.

Mr. Ravi set an ambitious target for us to focus on capturing a 25% market share and ensuring the company’s viability by March. He assured that all HR , 3 rd PRC issues will be thoroughly addressed to achieve these goals. he sought support and cooperation from all employees in achieving this goal.

Representatives from associations and unions expressed their full support and cooperation on achieving the target. However we emphasized that at the same time management must look into the pending HR issues of Executives and Non Executives pertaining to Pay, Pension and Promotions. The representives also highlighted that it’s high time that employees must get their dues and issue of 3rd PRC and Wage Negotiations for Employees must be settled now.

Mr Ravi expressed hope that with slight change in BSNL Revenue graph, management is open to settling the 3rd PRC as well as all the major issues related to Pay, Promotions and Pension of Employees.

Together, under Mr. Ravi’s leadership, we are confident that BSNL will flourish and reach new heights.

BMS enters glorious 70th year. From a humble begining of 7 members in 1955 to more than 1.4 crores today. Wish all karyakartas and wellwishers a very happy formation day.

The DPE has issued ordes for IDA increase w.e.f 01-07-2024. The new IDA rate payable w.e.f 01-07-2024 is 217.8%. Copy of the DPE order is kept in the link Orders.

The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh will be completing 69 years and will be entering 70th year on 23.07.2024.

The BMS has decided to conduct year long programmes upto 23.07.2025.

All the Circle / District / Branch Secretaries are requested to Hoist BMS flag at all work places and send report along with photos to the CHQ by 23rd Evening without fail.

GS BMS Shri Ravindra Himte Ji takes up the issue of empowering BSNL to launch full fledged 4G/5G not only in the interest of nation but also in the general interest of common public. BSNL has always acted as a market balancer and as a catalyst to keep the private operators in check. Launch of Cell one service made private operators to reduce tariff, when BSNL made incoming free, all operators followed, when BSNL launched all India free Roaming , private operators also had to do it.

The mobile today is not only a means of communication but also a source of livelihood for many people in the country. Hence providing affordable mobile and communication services to citizens is an obligation on the part of government. This cannot be ensured without strong presence of BSNL in 4G/5G services. Today the public is running for BSNL SIM but a lack of 4G/5G to BSNL is restraining them to do so.

Hence GS BMS Shri Ravindra Himte Ji appeals for intervention of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for allowing BSNL to upgrade its mobile network to the 4G/5G Technology so that BSNL can roll out full-fledged 4G services.

GS BMS also assures firm support on behalf of BMS and BSNL employees to the Homegrown 4G initiative but at the same time, maintains that now it has become mandatory that BSNL may be allowed to upgrade its network to 4G/5G, till the time development of Indigenous 4G core is completed.
