DOT to collect Pension Contribution from BSNL employees on actual pay drawn

In a major relief to BSNL finances, the Government has finally agreed to collect Pension Contribution in respect of serving employees appointed by DOT on actual pay drawn and not on maximum of pay.
This issue was nagging for the past 20 years. The unions and Associations demanded this from government as BSNL’s finances were takibg a hit. After many years of push and pull the government of India has finally agreed to collect Pension Contribution at actual pay drawn. This will take effect from 01.09.2025.
